nav-ia tells you what is deep, orphaned or thin. The detailed IA standards live in the team wiki.

• Nav depth >3 — keep primary nav to 3 levels; deeper is hard to crawl and hard to use.
• Empty/fragment hrefs — every nav item should point to a live page, not # or empty.
• Duplicate labels — one label → one URL; duplicates to different URLs confuse users and equity.
• Thin pages — <150 words is thin, <50 is failing — add substance or merge siblings.
• Merge candidates — thin siblings under one parent with overlapping tokens are surfaced for human review, never auto-split.
