Are last year's specials still up?
“Are last year's specials still up?” The seasonal-copy sweep, not tied to any one ticket.
A seasonal promotion or a dated offer left up past its end date is the kind of thing a practice's own team stops seeing after a while — it's just part of the page to them. This scans a page or the whole site for exactly that: an offer with a stated end date that's already passed gets flagged with certainty, while a seasonal-sounding name with no date attached gets flagged for a person to confirm, since it might just be a permanent product name.
What to ask for
See it work
A real run of Promo expiry scanner:
FAIL — graded against <date>
[error] expired <age> ago (<date>): "Offer ends December 31, 2025"

Promotional copy decays on a schedule nobody watches. The scan draws a hard line between two classes on purpose: an explicit date the copy itself states (“Offer ends 12/31/2025”) is a fact the scan can verify and fails outright once past; a bare season or holiday word (“Summer Special”) is a judgement call and only ever flags for review, because that might be a permanent product name.
- Run the promo scan against the page or the site’s full URL list.
- Read each finding with its page and the exact extracted copy — the two classes above are graded differently, and the report says which one a given hit is.
- [manual] Confirm with the offer’s owner whether it expired, was quietly renewed without updating the date, or is intentionally evergreen despite the seasonal-sounding name.
- [manual] Remove, replace, or correct only the confirmed items, then rerun the scan to keep the before-and-after record.
The date decides how hard it bites
A stated date is unambiguous, so it fails. A season word alone is not — “Summer Sale” outlives every summer on plenty of real product pages — so it stays a REVIEW and waits for a person to say which one this is.
What this does not cover
Which offers are meant to be evergreen. It finds dated offers and seasonal copy whose date has passed; it cannot know a promo's intended lifetime, so a permanent product genuinely named "Summer Package" will surface and needs a human to wave it through.
